Participatory Ocean Design
Social Impact Campaign | Participatory Design
A collaborative social impact campaign focused on ocean conservation, using participatory design to engage the public. The project explores how visual communication and interactive experiences can raise awareness and encourage public engagement with environmental issues.
Our groups developed marine-themed icons, posters, social media content, and designed physical installations and participatory performances.
In the context of the theme of the United Nations World Ocean Day in 2022: taking collective action for the ocean, students majoring in Information Experience Design at the Royal College of Art held a POD participatory ocean design project.
Students use themselves as different species to think and respond in a non-human manner with fellow artists and designers to climate change and environmental crises.
